

Cameron Darweesh joined Dyna in 2005 to manage labor and materials. He previously assisted companies as they went public and helped them stay in compliance with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulations. He also worked as a fundraising consultant for non-profits. Cameron attended the University of California at Los Angeles and holds a fundraising certificate from the University of Washington. When not working, Cameron enjoys playing sports, especially softball, basketball and tennis. He also coaches baseball and basketball.

Andy Mroczek joined Dyna Contracting in 2004. He brings 10 years of remodeling and construction experience. Prior to joining Dyna he owned a small construction company in Maui. He also worked for one of Maui's top remodeling companies. Before working in the construction industry, Andy attended New England Culinary Institute and worked for over a decade as a chef. In addition to attending Maui ommunity College, Andy has earned business-related continuing education credits and an audit certificate. In his time off, he enjoys sailing, boat building, traveling and book club.

Ren Chandler founded Dyna Contracting as a partnership in 1999, and assumed full ownership of the company in 2003. He enjoys being actively involved in every aspect of the business—especially working directly with clients to help them realize their ultimate vision for their home.
Ren's ability to manage effective teams became apparent early when he began sailing as a teenager. Years spent as a captain of racing boats meant extensive experience in leading large teams, from coordinating travel logistics to ensuring seamless and fast teamwork full-tilt aboard ship.
When the opportunity arose for Ren to work as a general contractor building restaurants, he found his niche and his passion. Today his company focuses on residential building and remodeling because he and his staff particularly enjoy the dynamic of the team-homeowner, architect, and contractor-and making sure that the insights of all involved affords an excellent result from start to finish.
Along with many years of hands-on experience in the field, Ren has a natural aesthetic sense and takes pleasure in finding interesting and appropriate materials to fit particular living spaces. He also appreciates a challenge and excels when working with a talented team to find the best solution.
Ren attended Holderness School in New Hampshire and holds a B.A. from St. Laurence University in upstate New York. When he's not working, Ren enjoys cooking, being outdoors, sailing, skiing, playing soccer, squash, softball, and spending time with his family.

Rich Bihon joined Dyna in 2006 with over 15 years of custom homebuilding experience. Prior to signing on with Dyna, Rich was superintendent for one of the premier homes on the Seattle Street of Dreams. He also worked as a general contractor in the Skagit Valley area and built over 25 spec and custom homes. Rich studied criminology at Penn State and served as a sheriff's deputy and part-time police officer before returning to the building industry. When not working, Rich enjoys spending time with his family, especially playing with his two kids.

Caleb Carlson has been a metalworker at Dyna since 2005. He specializes in cable railing systems and stairs but often applies his ten years of cabinetry experience as well. Caleb holds a B.S. in oceanography from Oregon State University. In his free time he snowboards (1000 days and counting), races sailboats, and is currently rebuilding an aluminum Frers47 into a live-aboard for himself, his wife and their golden retriever.

Howard Freeman joined Dyna in 2004. He works as a project manager and assists company founder Ren Chandler in various day-to-day aspects of running Dyna's business.
Howard joined Dyna with more than 20 years of residential and commercial construction management experience. His roots in the building trade are deep, as both of his grandfathers owned and operated their own construction companies. Today, his wife works in a related field as an owner of an interior design firm.
Howard has always been exposed to hard work and responsibility. He spent a good portion of his childhood helping out with farm and construction projects. He feels particularly rewarded working in residential construction because of the personal satisfaction clients get from a job well done. He prides himself on helping Dyna to provide top-notch service with a high level of professionalism and integrity. He also takes pleasure in the completion of technically demanding projects. Whether working on a challenging site, or a particularly complex structure, Howard is mindful of the desire to create beautiful, integrated structures that appear clean, simple, and flow gracefully from one space to the next.
Howard has a master's degree in architecture from the University of Washington and a bachelor's degree in business psychology from Ohio University. A backcountry ski mountaineer and world traveler, Howard enjoys spending time with his family—especially his young son.

Luke Ivey joined the Dyna team in 2008. Previously, he managed the construction of two large residential projects on Bainbridge Island. Prior to that he worked as a project superintendent and project manager for a general marine contractor in public works. Luke also has experience in plumbing, carpentry, masonry and log home construction. He graduated from University of Colorado with a degree in biology and environmental studies emphasizing in biogeochemistry. When he's not working, he enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, playing soccer with his wife, and spending time with his dogs Rojo and Sunshine.

Chris Honingford joined the Dyna team in 2006. His responsibilities include coordinating all small projects, service and maintenance, and warranty issues. Prior to joining Dyna, Chris was self-employed as a home remodeling professional. He holds a B.A. in psychology and history from Pitzer College in Claremont, California and a master's in education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. In his spare time he enjoys bicycling, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Tom Koon joined Dyna in 2005. Prior to joining Dyna he worked for Gray Design producing custom furniture for premier Northwest interior designers. He brings a decade of experience in apartment renovation and maintenance, and 14 years experience in designing and building residential and commercial furniture. He also has extensive boat building experience. He studied industrial arts at Western Washington University. When he's not working, Tom enjoys cross-country and downhill skiing, sailing, fishing, and woodworking.

Gus Poole joined Dyna in 2004 as a superintendent, and now works as a project manager, ensuring that every aspect of a job runs smoothly start to finish.
Gus particularly enjoys the straightforward nature of his work with Dyna. He prides himself on maintaining open lines of communication with his clients and meeting or exceeding their expectations in every aspect of a job. He finds it gratifying to be an integral part of a creative process that results in something tangible—a home.
Prior to joining Dyna, Gus worked as a project manager for Wells Fargo in San Francisco and later Seattle. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Gus is originally from Maine, and in his spare time enjoys being outdoors, playing squash and sailing.

Stacey Rains joined the Dyna team in 2006. She assists project managers with organization and coordination of subcontractors from beginning to full completion of construction. She aids and supports homeowners during the construction process, coordinates the safety program, and provides general HR support. Prior to joining Dyna, Stacey taught French and English abroad. She holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta, Canada and teaching certificates from Prescott College, Arizona and the United Kingdom. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, playing volleyball, coaching swimming, and teaching ESL.

Leo Vergara has been with Dyna Contracting since 2003, working closely with company founder Ren Chandler overseeing various job sites and projects. Prior to joining Dyna, he worked as a carpenter. Leo attended North Seattle Community College. When he's not working, Leo enjoys watching movies, playing with his kids, and walking outdoors.

Blair Wick joined Dyna in 2005. Prior to joining Dyna he worked as a field superintendent on high-end residential projects in the Seattle area. In addition to growing up in the construction industry as the son of a contractor, Blair also owned his own construction business for over 20 years building custom homes, with some spec and commercial work. He attended Highline Community College and holds a Washington state real estate license and a Private Pilot's license. In his spare time, in addition to teaching Sunday school, Blair enjoys spending time with his kids, snow skiing, waterskiing, boating, sailing, scuba diving, traveling and wood carving.

Michelle Szozda joined Dyna Contracting in 2008. She assists project managers with organization and coordination of subcontractors from beginning to full completion of construction. She also helps homeowners during the construction process and provides general office support.
Prior to joining Dyna, Michelle worked in the field of social services, helping combat homelessness through low income housing certification and grant management. She also put her passion for people on the front lines for three years as a King County children and families social worker with Family Services. Michelle's multi-tasking experience has afforded her the ability to jump right in and provide Dyna clients the attention to detail and personalized service they have come to expect.
Michelle earned her bachelor's degree in urban sociology from the University of Minnesota and her master's degree in social work from the University of Washington. In her spare time Michelle enjoys playing volleyball, soccer, snowboarding, hiking and traveling.

Merrylin St John-Ayre joined the Dyna team in 2007. She assists project managers with organization and coordination of subcontractors from beginning to full completion of construction. She aids and supports homeowners during the construction process and provides general office support. Prior to Dyna, Merrylin worked as a crewmember onboard private luxury yachts. She enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and outdoor activities.

Denise Tyree joined the Dyna team in 2007. She is the first point of contact in the office and is responsible for general office operations. Previously, Denise worked in mortgage lending. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, scuba diving and dirt bike riding.

Becky Hart joined Dyna in 2007. She has over 30 years of accounting experience including working for the first Soviet/American Joint Venture company. Previously, she served as the accountant and business manager for an architectural firm. Other career highlights include being a media buyer, a professional clown and spending over two years traveling in Southeast Asia. Becky has been buying real estate since she was 19. She received an award from the Mayor of Seattle for her role in the renovation and historical status of two Capital Hill co-ops. When not working, she spends her time doing house projects, managing two rentals, being with her family, skiing and traveling.

Chad Briggs joined the Dyna team in 2006. Previously, he worked for another Seattle-based construction company doing residential remodels. Chad brings a strong attention to detail to the job and also enjoys a team environment and meeting client expectations. He has a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Western State College of Colorado. Before college, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps. When he's not working, Chad enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and Oregon Ducks football.

Chris Brecht joined Dyna in 2007, bringing his extensive knowledge of the construction industry. For nearly a decade he owned and operated his own contracting business, building custom homes, remodels and additions. He has also worked as a plumber and focused his education on refrigeration and electrical training. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his two sons, camping, skiing, scuba diving, riding dirt bikes and cooking for friends.

Pete Pitcher joined Dyna Contracting in 2007. He is a leading team member in the company's effort to build more green certified homes. In his 25 years working in the construction industry as a carpenter, superintendent, and engineer, Pete has had the opportunity to build some of the finest homes and retail properties in Washington State. He also spent several years as the facility manager for the Port of Seattle's Central Waterfront Properties. Pete's deep understanding of what it takes to build and maintain a home over its lifetime, along with strong desire to bring the built world into harmony with nature drives his interest in promoting sustainable building, designs, and methods. He studied art history, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and electronics at the University of Oregon and the University of Washington. In his free time, Pete enjoys being with his family and friends, spending time outdoors and cycling, skiing, and traveling.

Rick Anderson joined Dyna in 2007. He brings 17 years of construction experience. Previously, Rick worked on custom homes and remodels, was a project manager for a volume spec building, worked in land development, and owned his own business. He came to Dyna because he wanted to work for a company that focused on the details necessary to truly achieve a client's vision. When he's not working, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly; backpacking; kayaking; listening to music, remodeling projects at home, and riding their Harley.

Thomas Litz became a member of the Dyna team in 2007. He brings over 10 years experience in high-end residential remodeling and finish carpentry. Prior to joining Dyna, Thomas was a field supervisor and a lead carpenter. For the last couple of years, he has been a volunteer house captain for "Rebuilding Together", which provides donated repair services for homeowners in need so they can continue to live dependently in warmth and safety. When not at work, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and son, mountain biking, and playing music.

Tim Kelley joined Dyna Contracting in 2007. He joined the construction industry after spending 10 years working in politics and public policy. After completing the carpentry program at Seattle Central Community College and working for Millwork Supply Company, he served as an apprentice with a builder of custom spec homes in Bellevue and then worked as a finish carpenter. He holds a B.S. in political science from Lewis and Clark College, Oregon and a certificate in international business. In addition to being a lifelong boater, he was a member of the Olympia Police Harbor Patrol for several years. He is interested in green building, wise land use, and is passionate about animals and the environment.

Chris Mahnke joined Dyna as a superintendent in 2008, where he enjoys hands on work while overseeing projects. He previously worked for a custom builder, serving as superintendent for the construction of a timber frame home in Suncadia as well as building other homes in the Seattle area. He takes pride in producing quality work, both on the job and in his own home improvement projects. In his free time Chris loves to golf, ski, and white-water kayak—he is passionate about almost anything that takes him outdoors. He is currently searching for a wooden boat to restore and live aboard on Lake Union while he builds a home in Seattle.

Keith Paddock joined the Dyna team in 2008. As a licensed general contractor for over 20 years, he specialized in drywall and painting. He's worked on hundreds of remodeling projects in the Seattle area, many that have won local and national awards. Keith prides himself in seeing projects from a homeowner's perspective, working to finish up details according to client specification and handling any warranty issues that may arise. Besides working in construction, Keith captained commercial fishing vessels in Alaska for 15 years and has owned an online seafood business. Away from work he enjoys reading books and spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons.
