The owner of this 1920's California bungalow style home contacted Dyna for a limited remodel. But it soon became clear that the cold, leaky home needed more extensive work. The client asked Dyna to coordinate all aspects of the project-design, construction, interiors and landscaping-start to finish. She wanted to maintain the appeal of the original house while incorporating clean, modern lines and amenities. The result is a home transformed. A repaired and insulated exterior compliments the open spaces and custom finishes within. Rough-hewn counters connect kitchen to living room. An atrium circulates air and floods the house with light. The master suite includes a spa-like bathroom with a tiled "wet room" floor, shower area and soaking tub. The lower level serves as an entertainment room, also providing an office, storage spaces and climate-controlled wine cellar. A hand forged iron rail in the entryway and wood and steel staircase in the center of the home showcase the work of Dyna's custom shop.
